Personal memory

There are things you see when you're a child that you never forget about later. Strijd der Planeten was one of those things for me. It was my favorite cartoon and I could never forget it, no matter how hard I tried. I was very sad when the series ended and I hoped they would be aired again. Although a lot of cartoons aired over and over again, that never happened to Strijd der Planeten. I grew up developing many other interests, but I kept thinking about the series every once in a while.

So it was a big surprise for me when I was ill and hanging in front of the TV on a September afternoon in 1998 and the 'Eagle Riders' showed up on Fox Kids. Suddenly I saw all G-Force members back. Afterwards I had a lot of questions 'cause the Eagle Riders had other names than G-Force and because Joe (Jason for BotP-fans) seemed to be dead in this episode. And they also had another enemy: Mallanox instead of Zoltar. I looked for the answers on the internet and that's how I found out that I wasn't the only one who had never been able to forget Strijd der Planeten aka Battle of the Planets. This was one of the best results from searching the web, since I had been thinking that I was the only one for a long time. The web also taught me that the show was orginally Japanese, not American like I had always thougt.
