Visitors of the English site: please note that this page is a translation of the Dutch page, since this site is bilangual. Some items on this page may not be very interesting for you because they relate to Dutch situations and events.
An on line Strijd der Planeten club was founded in the past but it doesn't seem to excist anymore. If you want to meet other Strijd der Planeten fans you can use the Hyves network. There you find a Strijd der Planeten hyve!
This week I was walking at the fun fair and I was really surprised to find an attraction with pictures of all G-Force members! The thing is called Gravitron. You can find some pictures of it at the kermisfototheek (DSN8732.jpg tot en met DSN8738.jpg.)
We had to wait a long time but from July 2005 it is finally possible to watch the first 12 episodes of the original Gatchaman if you don't know Japanese. ADV Films is releasing the series on DVD both subbed and dubbed. For these first 12 eps you can choose from 2 boxes with 6 eps each (Collectors Edition 1 en 2) or a Collectors Editions Box Set with all 12 episodes and a bonus disc. You can buy them at the American web store Amazon or the Belgian webstore Archonia.
Please note: The United States have an other DVD standard than Europe. The DVD's will be region 1 DVD's. If you don't live in the United States you will need a region free DVD machine to play them.
Original Gatchaman drawings still in Europe?
In 2004 you could see them in Haarlem, the Netherlands: original Gatchaman drawings and paintings (aka Battle of the Planets aka Strijd der Planeten) by Gatchaman artist Yoshitaka Amano. You could also see them in Knokke (Belgium), Keulen (Germany) en Geneva (Switzerland). The Amano website has a page to view where the exposition will be next.
