I got some enthousiastic mails about the Diamond Select Toys action figures. This company produced Mark, Princess, Keyop and their vehicles. Later Jason, Tiny and Zoltar have been produced as well.The fans who e-mailed me liked them a lot. It's nice that you can take off their helmets.
Today a lot of Gatchaman merchandise is being produced. Because it is hard to keep up with every item that is made I refer to the 'new merchandise' page of The Gatchaman Goodies Pages.
Where to find it?
I think the Diamond Select action figures are the most-easy-to-find BotP toys in the Netherlans. Fans have seen it in various stores like Yendor in Rotterdam (Korte Hoogstraat 16, tel: 010-4331710) and Vision Toys and Games in Groningen (Poelstraat 24, tel. 050-3116089, you have to order them here!). Various stores at the Stripdagen (a comic convention) in 2002 sold them as well. For different prices so you can probably save some money by browsing. Unfortunately I do not remember the exact prices.
You could try A Space Oddity in Amsterdam (Prinsengracht 204, tel 020-4274036). Sometimes you are lucky: one time I went there they sold a tiny 1980 Strijd der Planeten Princess doll for 15,90 euro. If you have a lot of money you can buy Keyop's vehicle there for 113,45 euro. They also had dolls from Japan of Ken (Mark for BotP fans) and Ryu (Tiny for BotP fans) for about 270 euro each.
